Itinerary

THE YEAR: 2011, January the 23rd thereof. . . .

“And now; the end is near  We’ve travelled each and every road in the outback, California, Arizona, Canada, NZ and Nevada.  But more; much more than that, we did it As Cheap As Poss” !!!

Which means our dear readers and bloggers, that we are on our last legs…Of our journey!!    Currently in Adelaide, we shall soon be on our way to Sydney for a final 10 days or so and then we shall leave the rugged shores of a soon to be former-Commenwealth-country and head to another: Hong Kong…land of the all night poker bar; home of the 6am dim sum,  and current residence of one of our best friends, Damian.

From those pre-1997 islands, we shall drift westwards to the ‘motherland’ and England.  In time for Spring.  Ahh, yes – the best time of year!

8th December____ having spent the last week enjoying Melbourne, we are off tomorrow to Alice Springs, then back via Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock in a 4WD camper!!

Sydney for xmas, inc Dec 25th on a beach!!

NOVEMBER::: Starting from Darwin, we hope to get a cheap getaway to either Cambodia and/or Viet Nam.  Did want to go to Sumatra but thats out the window now.

Aussie RoadTrip — from Darwin to Perth, Perth to Adelaide, Adelaide to Melbourne, Melbourne to Sydney (again) for christmas day on the beach!!

30th SEPT:::  as we are now firmly in OZ the route shall be: Canberra – Brisbane by plane – Cairns by campervan relocation! – Darwin by some means – Perth by George – Melbourne by the way – Sydney by Xmas!

SEPTEMBER . . .OZ.  Thats right, OZ!!  More travelling around mixed with staying with peeps we havent seen for years.  Literally.  Oh, and if you want us on 25 December, we plan to be on a beach; somewhere!!

JULY – EARLY AUG: Based in Calgary, Canada with Jane’s bro JT, we shall be using the tent to go exploring as much as poss.  Places to include…Banff, Golden, copious National Parks inc Kannanskis, Waterton, Purcell, Glacier to name but 4!!; Medicine Hat, Vancouver & Victoria.

Fully intend to get the Greyhound Coach from Calgary via vancouver down to San Fran to catch our flight to NZ mid-aug.  It’s a 2day travel time but has Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington en-route: both good places with loads of micro-breweries!!!!

22ND JUNE 2010. . . Based in Canada from now til early Aug.  Staying with JT in Calgary but still planning on camping where and when we can: there are lots of Parks and Lakes and Forests, but the main deciding factor will be the weather!! as some are further north.  Brrr!

JUNE 3rd: currently camping at Lake Tahoe, Nevada/calif state border, then the w/e back  at Morgan Hill.  Next week is our last full week in the states so we’ll be off to Yosemite for 4days camping from Mon 7th; then back for the start of the World Cup at a bar somewhere in the USA!!

We’ll then fly up to Calgary Mon 14th to spend a good few weeks with JT, inc The Stampede!

MAY 25th:  over the next couple of weeks we are aiming to go to…

Yosemite camping for 4 days;     Lake Tahoe tent again for 2 or 3 days; poss Sequoia National Park for couple days aswell as the beach if the bloody sun ever stays out!

MAY 13th:  day before Mike’s  41st bday!, and settled into Morgan Hill, San Jose, CA quite easily.  Going to go to places like San Fran, the coast, Yosemite Park, Sequioa Park and so 4th.

MAY 8th: Last day in LA then heading up tomorrow to San Jose with Tamara and Robin for a few weeks!  Had a great time visiting local sites around LA and cant wait for the same near  SF – Yosemite etc.

APRIL: Having done the 7day cruise to Mexico (like you do!) we are now planning a few short trips: 3days to Vegas then on to the Grand Canyon for 2 days, then a 1 night stop at a little place in Arizona called London Bridge!! staying at the Windsor Beach Resort!!

MAY: Looks like we’ll stay in LA during the first week as we wont to go to the Anza Borrego park where there are Trogladite-style mudcaves recently discovered, so we’ll camp there for a few days/kip in the car!!  Thats near San Diego so not exactly en-route to San Fran!!

Then we will be San Fran bound to see Robin & Tamara which takes in mine and Robin’s birthdays!!  Keep reading the daily posts y’all (in yank accent!)
